Since my youth, I’ve been enchanted by travel and what we can learn from cultures other than our own. I was fortunate enough to see much of the world with my family and, as a result of those journeys and the ones that followed, I developed wide-ranging interests that drive me to this day.
Along the way I became fascinated by the benefits of natural health and discovered my true passion: an alternative practice known as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). I completed a five-year TCM doctorate diploma program in Vancouver and became a registered acupuncturist in 2008 with the College traditional Chinese medicine and Acupuncturists of BC (CTCMA), beginning my practice as an acupuncturist.
I subsequently completed extensive training and certification in the advanced program of Sports Medicine Acupuncture (SMA) in Boston in 2013, becoming Vancouver’s first Registered & Certified Sports Acupuncturist®. This enables me as an acupuncturist to use orthopedic assessment, to help treat and prevent musculoskeletal injuries due to work and sports injuries, postural and muscle imbalances, and more. I have extensive experience in clinical practice for the treatment and management of mild-to-advance cases of pain and injuries due to cancer, pre- and post-surgery rehab, major structural problems, stress, etc. I am also certified in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture as well as Facial Rejuvenation Massage/Acupressure.
While my recent years in practice have been geared toward the treatment of acute or chronic complicated cases, ultimately my practice is dedicated to improving the lives of all my patients. I take great pride in listening to my patients’ concerns and providing them with the support necessary to help them achieve their goals.
